What to expect : Life as a student again (assignments, presentations, staying up, deadlines, exams etc)

Which module that I am looking forward to :  Crisis Management, Cross-Cultural Awareness and Communications, Study Visits

How long : 25 weeks

Rationale of the programme :   To prepare and equip participants with multi-disciplinary skills including linguistic and management skills and acquire the right attitude to perform and excel in their professional duties as diplomats, both at home and abroad.

My expectations might be wrong for now.

I still have a long way to go. As a newbie in the service, there are still a lot that I need to learn or to improve.

Just keep the positive spirit going, be proactive, be resourceful, be resilient.

Try not to be complacent in your comfort zone.

Little things could make a whole lot of differences. Therefore, don't take things for granted.

This is a reminder to self, so that I will always remember the reason I've chosen this path in the first place.

Berlusconi's Babe

WARNING : THIS IS AN INTELECTUALLY SEXY POST

Proudly present you.....................................

The Most Beautiful Minister In The World

MARA CARFAGNA

The Minister of Equal Oppurtunity of Italy

Now

Not beautiful enough? Okay, what about this?

Then

Firstly, I would like to apologize if you feel offended or distracted or uncomfortable or anything of the same when you see the picture shown above.

I'm no advocate of something extremely provocative and flashy like that.

I was intrigued by the fact that this lady, who once a former showgirl and topless model, has now became the member of Italian Chamber of Deputies (the lower house of the Parliament of Italy).

Dubbed as the "World Hottest Politician" by Maxim, she entered politics in 2004 and the rest is history (refer here).

She's totally hot, with a complete package of 'brain and beauty'. A truly man's magnet, she's also quite vocal on certain issues of her interest.

I don't idolize her, nor I condemn what she had done in her past.

It's just everyone deserved a second chance in his/her life and so do her. She's not just another pretty face and she proved that by braving the man-dominated world's of politic.

Guy will always be a guy, especially when he's in his suit. Look at the guy on her left, what he's looking at?

A better picture : With the big boss, Silvio Berlusconi

I think she looks good either ways, long or short, she could pull off the style and still looks sophisticated.

Maybe in the next entries, I'll write about muslim lady figure. I have one in mind and I'll look for more.

Stay tuned.

The Hair

Today, someone said to me that I need to do some trimming to my hair.

My hair is so thick (now contemplating to thank or not to thank the mader and fader for the genes) even my hairdresser, who happened to be my friend, complained about it too.

This was my hair exactly 2 years ago.

             Before                                                         After

Ignore the messiness, the eyebag and the muka-nak-kena-tampar expression on the left (maybe on the right too).

Who cares when you were a student? Anyway, I requested 'newscaster' hairstyle for a try.

So, this was the hairdresser guy.

Jim The Hairdresser : What did you put on your hair Shifa? Tebal, keras macam dawai bla bla bla bla.

I looked sad, didn't I? No, I didn't mind of anything he said.

Shifa The Innocent Customer : Chill Jim.. :p

It was because I only paid about 3 pound (or is it 5 pound? 8 pound?) for the cut.

The end result : Nothing like a newscaster at all! Sheesh..

So, I'm planning to see Jim this Friday. But he can't complain anymore coz I'm paying him .............. this time.

See you Jim!

The Necklace

It has been a while since the blog was updated.

Such a lousy blogger I am.

A friend of mine said that the pictures in my post are too big (verbatim: gambar-gambar dalam blog you ni sebijik-sebijik la Shifa). I said, "Haha.. Like whatever.. Suka hati I la.."

He also said that they need to be edited. He then condemned me a bit too much on a lot of things that I challenged invited him to contribute a post for my blog (we'll just wait and see if he's going to take the challenge). Hihi

Hmm.. Then I think what he said is true. I begin to hate the sebijik-sebijik pictures. I'm no crafty artsy of all these things. I'm really new in this blogging world, I really depend a lot on the template and designs that are already provided here.

You know what, I actually have about 10 drafts that yet to be posted. Suddenly no mood la, idea stuck la, cannot find the right words la, yada yadi yadu yada lalala.

So many excuses, so little act. So me!

---------

Anyway, back to the title of this post, I'm so obsessed with Sex and The City. Hence the Blog Title.

Sex and The City....

Some love its love quotes, others like the characters.

Some love its fashion and style, others like the storyline.

Some love Carrie with Mr. Big, others love her with Aidan.

An so on and so forth.

For me, I love the name plate necklace also nicknamed the "Carrie Necklace" that Carrie wore most of the time in the series, especially on her casual day.

This is what I meant by 'casual'

A close-up

Don't you just love it?!

I wish to have one. I love it because it feels very personal as it's made specially for you. Maybe I can have it in Arabic letter instead of the usual one? What say you? I don't know..

What I know is I will get it from 'someone' one day. Hihi..

And for those who prefer a 'statement' necklace and do not intend to have everybody to know your name, I would suggest a 'single-letter' necklace like this one................

Gold-letter pendant with teardrop pearl

Seems familiar?

You can have this if you prefer a 'smart-casual' looks like the adorable cutesy Betty

Cute huh? I was a bit sad when she turned into a beautiful 'swan' in her last season of Ugly Betty. I didn't want it to end!! I don't like the sophisticated new Betty who lives in London!!

Sex and The City vs Ugly Betty, which one is your favourite?
